About Me 😎

Aman Bhatt looking mysterious and caffeinated
  • Passionate Software Developer
(I talk to computers more than people.)
  • B.Tech @ IIIT Una
Survived 8 semesters, 1,000+ cups of coffee, and countless deadlines.
  • Android & Backend Enthusiast
If it runs on code, I've probably broken it at least once before fixing it.
  • Problem Solver & Team Player
I thrive in collaborative environments (I can tolerate group projects).
  • Tech Stack Explorer
System design, cloud, AI—if it's trending, I'm "totally" an expert (after a quick Google search).
  • Hackathon Addict
I collect hackathon T-shirts and sleep deprivation badges.
  • Mentor & Workshop Speaker
I love sharing knowledge, especially when someone else brings snacks.
  • Hobbies
Reading about tech, playing chess, and trekking—because even code needs a break (and so do I).
Fun Fact:  I can debug code faster than I can decide what to eat for dinner.
Sarcasm Level:  Expert (just ask my compiler).

Education

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una

Dec 2020 – May 2024

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) – Information Technology
CGPA: 8.16
(Survived 4 years of caffeine-fueled nights, surprise quizzes, and the occasional existential crisis. My laptop and I are now inseparable.)

Saraswati Academy, Haldwani

Apr 2018 – Mar 2019

XII, CBSE Board
Percentage: 92.8%
(Yes, I peaked early. My relatives still talk about this at every family gathering.)

Fun Fact:  I've mastered the art of looking attentive in online classes while debugging code on the side.

Experience

Shorthills AI, Gurgaon

Software Developer Sept 2024 – Present
  • Developed and optimized backend systems using GenAI technologies and Django for client projects. (Yes, I talk to robots for a living!)
  • Built and deployed RESTful APIs with CRUD functionalities so efficient, even my coffee breaks got shorter.
  • Integrated OpenAI's GPT-4 to automate legal document summarization & extraction—because lawyers deserve AI-powered sidekicks too.
  • Implemented comprehensive logging, making bugs easier to find than my lost TV remote.
  • Ensured 0 bug deployments over production serving 3,000+ users. (My code is so clean, Marie Kondo would approve.)
  • Worked with models like Qwen, LLaMA, and O3-Mini—basically, I wrangle AI models like a digital cowboy.

AppyHigh Technology LLP, Gurgaon

Android Developer Intern Dec 2022 – May 2023
  • Reduced crash rates by 30% and wrote code so clean, it could pass a white-glove test.
  • Leveraged MVVM design pattern and dynamic modules for a 15% UI performance gain—because nobody likes a laggy app (especially me).
  • Revamped 25,000 lines of code from Java to Kotlin, reducing debug time to 3-5 minutes. (My Ctrl+Z finger is now officially retired.)
  • Integrated In-App Purchase for premium content subscriptions—turning clicks into coffee money.
  • Implemented push notifications, flows, coroutines, viewmodels, Work Managers, and probably a kitchen sink somewhere in there.

Projects

Meeting Room Scheduler

Django, Python, SQLite, HTML/CSS/JS

A web app that makes booking meeting rooms less of a battle and more of a breeze. Features include:

  • Real-time room availability and filters, so you never have to play hide-and-seek with empty rooms.
  • Book, extend, or cancel reservations with automated conflict detection and email notifications (because double-bookings are so last year).
  • Admins can manage rooms, set policies, and generate usage reports—power at their fingertips.
  • User authentication, role-based access, and a responsive UI for a smooth experience everywhere.
  • Optimized backend and caching for fast schedule rendering, even with a crowd of bookings.
(Turns out, I'm pretty good at organizing chaos.)

QuickDroid

Kotlin (Android), Node.js, Express, MongoDB

An all-in-one Android app and backend for managing files—downloads, uploads, and everything in between. Highlights:

  • Supports downloads for documents, images, videos, and archives from multiple sources.
  • Local and remote uploads with real-time progress and resumable downloads (because interruptions happen).
  • Caching and offline access for your most-used files—no WiFi, no problem.
  • Smart search history and suggestions powered by MongoDB.
  • Backend REST API for authentication, file storage, and user management.
  • Modern Android UI with MVVM, coroutines, and Jetpack for a smooth ride.
(Not to brag, but this one's a personal favorite.)

Extracurricular

  • Beta – Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador
(Basically, I help people learn tech and occasionally pretend to be a Microsoft superhero. Cape not included.)
  • Captain, Volleyball winning team in Yalgaar'23, IIIT Una & 6th INTER-IIIT Sports Meet (Mar 2024)
(Led my team to victory with killer serves, questionable dance moves, and enough team spirit to power a small city.)
  • Professional Meme Curator & Office Table Tennis Champion (self-declared)
(If you need a meme for any occasion or a ping-pong partner who talks trash with style, I'm your person.)
Because life is more than just code—sometimes it's about spiking volleyballs, sharing memes, and pretending to be a tech ambassador.
